Quinta Calma is a large renovation project involving two houses and a generous  plot of land. The main challenge was to define spatial organization, privacy, and  coherence between the two homes, designed for different families, while  maintaining harmony through the gardens and outdoor spaces. The project does not aim to create extensive new landscaping, but rather to  preserve and enhance the existing atmosphere, with a patio-like feeling and  minimal, carefully placed planting that highlights the architecture. The design  integrates all key structural and landscape elements, including entrances,  circulation paths, parking areas, terraces, staircases, retaining walls, swimming  pool, and low-maintenance private gardens for each house.

Particular attention is given to topography and water management, with  strategies for drainage, water collection, storage, and soil movement  embedded into the overall design approach. A small citrus orchard and an  amphitheater introduce a Mediterranean character and support shared outdoor  living.

Located at the lower part of the site, the project brings together architecture,  landscape, and engineering to create a coherent and unified environment,  where boundaries and connections between the two homes are carefully  balanced and fully integrated into the natural surroundings.
